The Grand Beatbox Battle 2021: World League (also abbreviated to GBB 2021 or GBB 21) was an international beatboxing competition hosted by Swissbeatbox. It was the 12th edition of the Grand Beatbox Battle and took place at EXPO XXI in Warsaw, Poland from October 22–24, 2021, with an afterparty and 7 To Smoke battle taking place at Progesja in Warsaw, Poland on October 25, 2021.[1][2]
Overview[]
All qualified participants from the Grand Beatbox Battle 2020 automatically qualified for this event,[3] for a total of 26 Solo participants, 11 Tag Team participants, 17 Solo Loopstation participants, 3 Tag Team Loopstation participants, and 4 Crew participants.
The event was livestreamed for free on the Swissbeatbox YouTube channel.
Timeline[]
A wildcard competition began on April 1, 2021 for an additional seven Solo participants, three Tag Team participants, four Solo Loopstation participants, and one Crew participant.[4] Solo and Solo Loop wildcard entries closed on April 30 and winners were announced on May 13. Tag Team and Crew wildcard entries closed on May 31 and winners were announced on June 14.[5]

- Elisii initially dropped out of GBB 2020 and forfeited his place to D-Koy. Swissbeatbox allowed him to qualify for GBB 2021 in light of the circumstances regarding the cancellation of the former event.[6]
- Improver acted as a replacement for
MB14 (6th GBB 2020 Wildcard Winner).[7]
- FootboxG acted as a replacement for
Show-Go (6th GBB 2021 Wildcard Winner).[8]
- DEN acted as a replacement for
Wawad (2nd GBB 2020 Wildcard Winner).[9]
- Heartzel was given the opportunity to replace Helium due to uncertainty of the latter being able to leave Russia the week of the event. Helium was ultimately able to make it, and Swissbeatbox decided to honor Heartzel's participation.[10]
- Due to requests from Vocodah and D-Koy, they are both listed as "Artist" in the official battle videos.

- Bizkit, despite only winning a loopstation wildcard because NME dropped out, ended up winning the competition.
- GBB21 remains, to this day, the event with the most participant beatboxers.
