Sung Lee, better known as SungBeats, is an American beatboxer and looper.
History[]
SungBeats first discovered beatboxing in 2004 at 13 years old[1] after watching a video of a beatboxer named Effex performing. He "dabbled with [beatboxing]" throughout high school and college and would perform at open mics. He started to experiment with looping in 2011 with a looping app. After graduating college and starting to work, he eventually decided to quit his full-time job to pursue beatboxing as a career in 2014.[2]
He has cited Rahzel, Faith SFX, and Doug E. Fresh as musical inspirations.[1]
SungBeats currently resides and busks in New York City.
