Tomás Vicente Opitz Jerez,[citation needed][2] better known as Tomazacre, is a Chilean beatboxer.
History[]
Tomazacre was first exposed to beatboxing at 11 years old when he watched a video of Skiller and Reeps One battling at the 3rd Beatbox Battle World Championship.[3]
Personal life[]
Sexual assault allegations[]
On November 15, 2021, Swissbeatbox released a statement acknowledging "allegations of sexual assault surrounding a GBB21 artist" and that "[they] will be removing all videos containing this particular artist";[4] while a specific person was not mentioned, all videos featuring Tomazacre on their channel were simultaneously made private. Later that day, American beatboxer HerShe claimed in a livestream that he was indeed involved in a sexual assault incident during the event and that she had knowledge of what transpired, which prompted her to have a discussion with Swissbeatbox about releasing the statement.[5]
On June 5, 2022, Tomazacre released a series of Instagram stories detailing his side of the story regarding the GBB allegation, claiming that it was fabricated.[6]
On November 14, 2024, Tomazacre released a video on YouTube explaining how he was acquitted of all charges in court and how his life was affected by the situation. He expressed his lack of interest in returning to competitive beatboxing or the community, stating: "I'm not coming back anytime soon to compete because I lost all the passions and skills that I used to have, sadly, so don't expect me to come back."[7]
